“Under the settlement, policyholders who purchased variable universal life or deferred variable annuities through Argus or Tremont International Insurance Ltd. would receive loans if those policies are threatened with lapsing beginning Dec. 1 by virtue of losses due to investments in the Rye Select Funds or the SHL fund, according to court papers.”
